Recursive Mono Sans Family

About the product

Recursive Mono borrows its warmth from casual hand signpainting, then reroutes that energy through a five-axis variable engine that shifts smoothly between sans and mono, linear and casual, upright and slanted. Flip the MONO axis, and it moves between a natural-width interface font and a fully fixed-width monospace font, all without a single layout reflow.

Suits variable font showcases, developer UI kits, coding livestream branding, product design systems, technical documentation, startup interfaces, code editor themes, programming tutorial graphics, and interactive type demos.

Included:

  • five variable axes covering weight, slant, casual expression, and cursive substitution;
  • uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and symbols;
  • an extended Latin character set supporting 100+ languages;
  • optional code ligatures and stylistic sets via the Rec Mono build.
