Petit Formal Script

About the product

Petit Formal Script was drawn for screens, which is unusual for a formal hand. Impallari Type built it to survive at 13 pixels, with shortened extenders and sturdier joins than a nineteenth-century script would normally keep. The rhythm still feels Victorian — the copperplate manner, retuned for a browser. That makes it one of the few scripts in its class that remains readable below headline size.

Usage: postcards, wedding invitations, web headings, menu text, certificates, greeting cards, packaging, editorial subheads, and social media graphics.

Included:

  • uppercase and lowercase letters;
  • numbers, punctuation, and symbols;
  • multilingual support across the extended Latin script.
