Block Shift Effect

The effect breaks a photograph into a grid of square blocks and shoves them out of line — whole tiles slide sideways, stack up, and leave gaps down the edges. It hits hardest on photos with a clear subject against open space, where the displaced blocks have a shape to break apart. One smart object runs the displacement: drop an image in, and the blocks shift, the color chips, and the grain renders around it on separate layers.
