Detailed License Terms
Personal License
- Usage: Personal projects, student work, testing.
- Attribution: Required.
- Fonts: Desktop use only (create images).
- Restrictions: No client work. No use in products for sale.
Commercial License
- Commercial Use: Yes (Client work allowed).
- Attribution: Not Required.
- Digital Reach: Unlimited Online Views.
- Includes: YouTube, Social Media (Organic & Paid Ads), Website traffic.
- Excludes: Broadcast TV, Cinema, Streaming Services, Digital Billboards.
- Physical Prints: Up to 5,000 copies (Packaging, flyers, books).
- Fonts (Desktop): Create static images (logos, headers, book covers).
- Restriction: You cannot embed the font file into software or websites (using @font-face with the file hosted yourself).
- Merchandise/POD: No. (Cannot use assets as the main selling point).
Master License Agreement
This License Agreement ("Agreement") governs the terms by which Pixelbuddha Studio grants you ("Licensee") the right to use digital assets, including graphics, fonts, templates, and add-ons ("Assets") downloaded from pixelbuddha.net
By downloading an Asset, you agree to be bound by the terms of the specific license tier (Personal, Commercial, or Extended) held by your account at the time of download.
General License Rights (Applies to All Tiers)
- Non-Exclusive: You do not own the Asset; you are buying the right to use it. We retain all copyrights.
- Perpetual: You may use the Assets you downloaded forever, even if your subscription ends. (Note: You cannot download new files after cancellation, but you keep rights to what you already have).
- Worldwide: You can use these Assets in any country.
- Non-Transferable: You cannot sub-license, resell, or give away the source files to a third party.
License Tiers & Usage
A. Personal License
- Authorized Use: Strictly for personal projects, educational purposes, or non-profit use.
- Commercial Use: Prohibited. You may not use the Asset in any work where you are paid or where the end product is sold.
- Attribution: Required. You must credit Pixelbuddha Studio (e.g., "Designed by Pixelbuddha Studio").
- Fonts: Desktop installation permitted on 1 device for personal documents/images only. B. Commercial License
- Authorized Use: Commercial projects, client work, advertising, and social media.
- Attribution: Not required.
- Seats: License covers 1 individual user.
- Digital Reach: Unlimited views for Website, YouTube, Social Media, and Online Advertising. Restriction: Does not include Broadcast TV, Cinema, or OTT Streaming Services (e.g., Netflix, Hulu).
- Physical End Products: Up to 5,000 physical reproductions (packaging, flyers, magazines).
- Merchandise & Print-on-Demand: Prohibited. You cannot use the Asset as the primary value of a product for sale (e.g., a t-shirt where the graphic is the main selling point).
- Font Usage (Desktop): You may install the font to create static images (rasterized) or vector outlines (logos, print designs). Restriction: You may not embed the font software file into apps, games, or editable PDFs/eBooks.
C. Extended Commercial License
- Authorized Use: All rights included in the Commercial License, plus the expanded rights listed below.
- Seats: License covers up to 5 users within a single organization.
- Digital Reach: Unlimited. Includes Broadcast TV, Cinema, Digital Billboards, and OTT Streaming Services.
- Physical End Products: Unlimited physical reproductions.
- Merchandise & Print-on-Demand (POD): Permitted. You may use the Asset as the primary value of a product for sale (e.g., t-shirts, mugs, posters), including use on POD platforms (e.g., Redbubble, Merch by Amazon).
- Font Usage (Embedding):
App/Game Embedding: You may embed the font software into mobile applications (iOS/Android), desktop software, or video games.
E-Pub/Document Embedding: You may embed the font into electronic publications (ePub, Kindle, PDF) for commercial distribution.
Prohibited Uses (The "Never" List)
The following restrictions apply to
- No Generative AI Training: You may not use the Assets, in whole or in part, to train, test, validate, or fine-tune any Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models, algorithms, or systems. This includes, but is not limited to, Neural Networks, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).
- No "On-Demand" or "Template" Applications: While the Extended License permits embedding assets into software, you may not use the Assets in a "Software-as-a-Service" (SaaS), API, or application where the primary function is to allow your end-users to generate, edit, or customize designs, logos, or merchandise.
Allowed: Using a font or icon for the UI/UX of your mobile game or accounting app.
Prohibited: Creating a "Logo Maker," "T-Shirt Designer," or "Canva-like" editor where your users select and manipulate our Assets to create their own end products.
- Resale as Stock: You cannot resell, redistribute, or offer the Asset as a standalone file or as part of a bundle, template, or stock library.
- Trademarking: You cannot register a trademark, logo, or copyright claim that includes the Asset as a standalone element.
- Illegal/Hate Use: You cannot use the Asset in content that is pornographic, defamatory, or is otherwise illegal.
- Open Source Font Conversion: You cannot modify a font file and release it as Open Source or Public Domain (excludes fonts already under OFL and Public Domain license).
Usage Limitations & Fair Use Policy
To ensure the sustainability of our service and protect our contributors, we enforce the following technical limitations:
- No Automated Scraping: You agree not to use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper, script, or other automated means or interfaces not provided by us to access the Services or to extract data or Assets.
- Fair Use Download Cap: While our paid licenses offer "Unlimited" access to the library, this is intended for human productivity. To prevent account sharing and botting, we monitor download activity.
The Trigger: Downloading more than 50 assets in a 24-hour period is considered abnormal behavior and may trigger a manual review of your account or a temporary suspension of download rights.
Review Process: If your workflow legitimately requires high-volume downloading (e.g., a specific bulk migration), please contact support, and we can whitelist your account.
FAQs
The license depends on the plan that is active at the time you download the resource.
Resources downloaded under Plus are licensed under the Standard Commercial License. Resources downloaded under Pro are licensed under the Extended Commercial License.
The license is tied to the recorded download event in your account history. If the same item is later re-downloaded under a different eligible plan, the later download may grant different rights for that item in accordance with the Terms.
Upgrading your membership does not automatically change the license for items you already downloaded under Plus. Those downloads remain under the Standard Commercial License unless you re-download the same item while Pro is active.
If you re-download that item under Pro, the new download is recorded in your account history and grants the Extended Commercial License for that item from the date of the Pro re-download.
You can manage your membership from your account page at any time. Depending on your plan and account status, you may be able to upgrade, downgrade, reactivate, or cancel your membership there.
Any changes to your plan take effect according to your current billing cycle and the applicable membership terms.
If you cancel a recurring membership, your access remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that, access to new premium downloads ends.
Canceling your membership does not revoke the rights already granted for resources you validly downloaded while your plan was active. You may continue using those resources under the license granted at the time of download or re-download, as reflected in your account history.
Yes. If you downloaded a resource while your membership was active, you may continue using it under the license granted for that recorded download event.
For example, an item downloaded under Plus remains licensed under the Standard Commercial License. If that same item was later re-downloaded under Pro, the later recorded download grants the Extended Commercial License for that item from the date of that re-download.
Recurring memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the next renewal date. Lifetime memberships and one-time purchases do not renew automatically.
You are responsible for canceling before renewal if you do not want the next charge to be processed. In some cases, your payment provider may also require separate cancellation steps.
Refund requests are reviewed individually under our Refund Policy. Recurring memberships may be canceled before the next renewal date. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not revoke rights already validly granted through prior recorded download or re-download events.
