Scanner Noise Effect

About the product
The scanner effect drags a photograph across a flatbed mid-pass, the way a tired office scanner mangles a page it never finished reading. Dense horizontal scan lines rake the whole frame, the image tears into light and dark bands where the head slipped, and heavy grain grits over blown highlights and crushed blacks. Dust, hairs, and fine scratches settle into the surface, so the picture turns into a harsh black-and-white scan pulled off failing hardware, not a clean filter laid on top.
One smart object runs the whole pass — drop an image in, and the scan-lines, the band tearing, and the grain render around it on separate layers. The treatment bites hardest on portraits and high-contrast shots, where the bright skin and the open ground give the lines and the tearing real edges to break.
Usage: music covers and single art, rave and club flyers, streetwear graphics, cyberpunk and sci-fi key art, zine and editorial covers, band merch, glitch title cards, and experimental social sets.
