The effect recreates plate overlap, misregistration, and paper scuffing from classic two-color printing. The printed-by-hand feel is achieved through rough halftones, crosshatch grain, and a tiny edge bleed. Type can sit beneath or over the artwork with natural ink interaction, so serif headlines, woodcut drawings, and bold shapes get authentic press marks. The canvas supports clean vector silhouettes as well as scanned engravings, so the details look punchy while the surface remains pleasantly worn.
