This vintage display font has a rugged poster-shop voice, with chunky slab shapes, uneven edges, and a distressed ink finish. The wide letterforms carry a playful old-sailor attitude, especially in large headlines where the curves and rough texture get room to misbehave.
Chervels works best in loud, character-heavy designs with a pub sign, pirate map, or festival flyer mood.
