Chenta is a wide groovy serif display font with the kind of counter shapes that belonged on 1970s record sleeves and softcover paperback covers — round, generous, and slightly too comfortable to be purely classical. The contrast is high: thick strokes swell into the terminals, which are shaved to soft rounds rather than hard wedges, producing a letterform that reads as both declarative and easygoing. The C is nearly a full circle, the a builds around a closed teardrop, and the ligature alternates — including pairs like FR, OG, oo, st, and star-glyph swaps — add a second layer of personality for short headline settings where every character pair can be composed deliberately.
Chenta works best large and loose. Use it for poster titles, magazine headers, boutique logotypes, album and playlist covers, editorial pull quotes, and packaging for food, beauty, or lifestyle brands where warmth and confidence share equal weight.
