About the product
Sortvane is a handcrafted blackletter display font that keeps the broken, angular bones of medieval lettering but loosens the joints with rougher terminals and hand-inked irregularity. The construction reads closer to a scribe's working hand than a formal manuscript plate, so straight blackletter rigidity gives way to something warmer.
Sortvane comes in Regular and Slant, and its stylistic sets swap in alternate letterforms for a rougher or cleaner read depending on the setting. Use it for craft beverage labels, bar and restaurant branding, heritage packaging, book covers, wedding invitations, gig posters, and luxury logotypes.
