Newspaper Text - Free Textura Blackletter Font

Newspaper Text carries the dense textura of 19th-century broadsheet nameplates, the black letter that once ran above the fold of every morning paper. Its character set runs deeper than most display blackletters — five f-ligatures, four discretionary ordinal pairs, full superscripts and subscripts, and the double oblique hyphen historically used to break a word in broken script.

The font works well for parody mastheads, certificates, album covers, tavern menus, book covers, event programmes, museum graphics, and title sequences.
