About the product
Oldisire is an ornate calligraphy font cut with a pointed pen: hairline upstrokes, heavy swelling downstrokes, and a steep slant that drags the whole line forward. The loops overrun the body of the letter by a wide margin, so a single word claims twice the space it strictly needs. This is the Spencerian hand, drawn when penmanship was a paid profession, and the flourish was the receipt.
Seven stylistic sets and 92 alternates do the fitting. Swash forms open and close a line, and alternate shapes break up a repeated letter so a word never looks stamped. Oldisire goes big and sparse — a name, a title, a two-word phrase with air around it, set large enough for the loops to resolve.
Usage: wedding invitations, place cards and menus, perfumery and patisserie logotypes, wine labels, chocolate packaging, magazine openers, certificates, monograms.
