Ultra Ink Printer Effect

Our office ink printer has clearly seen better days, but let’s pretend it’s an art object! We’ve created this retro text effect inspired by all the ruined prints: heavy pigment sinks into coarse recycled paper, the edges bleed and clog, and patchy coverage leaves the type looking stamped. Stain, dust, and light-and-shadow passes stack over the print, with an inner shadow and outer glow that press the ink into the stock, so it performs like a proof pulled off a jammed riso drum.

Drop your artwork into the smart object once, and three ink passes rebuild around it, while a set of color-adjustment layers takes the ink to any tone, from a saturated solid hit to a faded, low-density print.

Usage: album covers, gig posters, zine and editorial spreads, streetwear graphics, band and label logos, packaging, risograph-style prints, and event flyers.
