Grunge Scanner Effect

The effect runs a photo through a high-contrast monochrome scan, with horizontal streaks dragging across the frame, highlights blown to bare paper, and shadows crushed to black. We built it on two PSDs, a landscape and a portrait frame, so wide shots and upright crops both scan cleanly. Dust, speckle, and scanline drift settle across a warm paper grain, and the background tone changes to any color.

Usage: album covers, zine spreads, gig posters, editorial portraits, fashion lookbooks, music artwork, photobook layouts, and poster campaigns.
