Cinzel — Free Roman Serif

About the product

Cinzel takes its proportions from first-century Roman inscriptions, the chiselled capitals cut into stone across the empire. It is framed as a contemporary reading rather than a reconstruction, and the crisp modern finish on the strokes bears that out.

The family ships as one variable file with a weight axis from 400 to 900, and there are no conventional lowercase letters — small caps carry the second case. It works for luxury packaging, perfume and spirits labels, film titles, wedding invitations, certificates, museum graphics, book covers, boutique identities, and poster headlines.

Included:

  • one variable file with a weight axis from 400 to 900;
  • capitals and small capitals;
  • numbers, punctuation, and symbols;
  • multilingual support across the extended Latin script.
