About the product
Every old book bears the marks of being read, like a cracked spine, a foxed corner, or an inscription left in someone else's hand. This set of paper textures gathers 26 open-book spreads scanned straight from real printed books, gutter shadow and all, so a layout can sit on a page that has already been somewhere. Cream, white, aged, and dark stock runs through the collection, from clean flyleaves to oxblood and cobalt endpapers.
Two kinds of files do the work. The 26 JPG scans lay down a printed-paper ground: faded tones, quiet folds, and the odd stamp or margin note left intact. Ten cutout book frames come as transparent PNGs, so a photo or a product shot drops into an open-book shape and reads as a printed page. Thirty-six files cover both jobs at high resolution.
Usage: poetry and zine layouts, record sleeves, perfume and fashion editorials, moodboards, title pages, invitations, and collage. Lay a photograph inside a frame, or set type over a scan on Multiply and pull the opacity back until the print grain shows through.
