Xuan Paper Textures & Overlays

Xuan paper has served Chinese calligraphy and ink painting for centuries: a handmade sheet prized for its long bark fibers, faint laid lines, and the way ink settles into it without bleeding. This set of paper textures and transparent overlays scans that surface at high resolution, so a photograph or a piece of artwork picks up woven grain, soft folds, and torn deckled edges the moment it drops underneath.

Two file types cover both jobs. 10 Xuan paper backgrounds arrive as JPG at 5000 × 7000 px, ready to sit under a layout as a warm, fibrous ground. 14 transparent PNG overlays go on top, dropping creases, fiber flecks, and frayed edges over whatever sits below.

Usage: editorial portraits, poster comps, album art, packaging, wedding suites, brand boards, zines, and social carousels. Try Multiply, Overlay, or Soft Light on an overlay, and lower the opacity if you want only a whisper of the fold lines.
