Iris Halo Effect

The prism effect breaks a photograph into spectral light. Highlights split into red, green, and blue and fan out, so a portrait picks up the look of light bent through a cut-crystal edge or an oil-slick lens. The rendered halo doubles and smears the brightest shapes, close to a projection caught on glass.

Everything runs from a Smart Object: drop in an image, and the halo, dispersion, and glow render around it. The spectral streaks, bloom, and lens circles sit on separate layers, so the strength of the rainbow and the reach of the flare are yours to dial. The effect reads loudest where the source has bright highlights against a dark ground.
