Faceted Rays Effect

The prism splits a photograph into a fan of faceted repeats. Warm rays rake across the frame, spectral flares bloom off the highlights, and the color smears. The whole image softens into a bright, dreamy haze, closer to a portrait shot through a cut-crystal lens than a flat double exposure. The treatment reads richest on portraits and backlit shots, where the highlights give the facets and flares something bright to split.
