The mood of Drowner sits somewhere between a late-’90s punk zine, a bootleg Nine Inch Nails VHS cover, and the raw texture of early Ray Gun magazine layouts. It channels lo-fi aggression you’d find in photocopied band flyers plastered over bathroom stalls, or the scratched CD art from the Kerrang! compilation.
